Lora Ruth Kelley

Lora Ruth Kelley, age 81, of Gardendale, Alabama passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2024. Lora was born in Cullman, Alabama to the late James and Mary Kelley. Lora was an adoring sister who loved to read and loved the Lord. She was a dedicated member at Gardendale First Baptist Church where she served for many years on the facilities management team.

Lora was welcomed into Heaven by her father, James D. Kelley; her mother, Mary Alice Hunter Kelley; and her nephew, David Kelly. She is survived by her sister and her husband, Janet and Jerry Loring; her brother and his wife, Lamar and Phyllis Kelly; her nieces and nephews; Jay and Stacy Loring, Janan and BJ Blalock, and Hunter Kelly; her great nieces and nephews, Tommy Loring, Jason Loring, Mary Alice Loring, and Katelee Blalock; and numerous cousins and dear friends.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 18, 2024 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel, 2029 Decatur Highway, Gardendale, AL 35071, followed by a Celebration of Loras' Life at 2:30 PM. A Committal Service will immediately follow at Oakwood Memorial Gardens with BJ Blalock, Jay Loring, Jason Loring, Tommy Loring, Jack Fields, and Lane Sewell serving as pallbearers.
