Lorene Watwood

September 27, 1933 – June 13th, 2025

On June 13th, 2025, Lorene L. Kilburn Watwood of Tarrant, Alabama passed away at the age of 91. She was born September 27th, 1933, to Lizzie and Reverend Jesse D. Kilburn.

Funeral services which will be held at Rideout’s Chapel Gardendale Alabama on June 17th at 11:00. A visitation will be held at 10:00 prior to the funeral. Burial to follow immediately after in Cullman at Bethesdia Cemetery, 1365 County Road 421, Cullman, AL.

Lorene worked as a cashier through the years and was a homemaker. She was married to Johnny Watwood in 1955, and they shared 46 years together. They were blessed with five children. Lorene loved to plant in her yard and enjoy the blooms all summer long.

Lorene is survived by her children, Diana Rice, Richard Watwood, David Watwood (Cindy), Kay Norris (Sammy) and Tim Watwood (Allison); grandchildren Jared Dunn (Taylor), Tonya Watwood, Angel Rice, Eric Norris (Tammy), Alan Norris (Emily), Tiffany Watwood and Keven Watwood; great grandchildren Patrick Green, Skylar Dunn, Kerra McDonald, Devin Norris, Braden Norris, Grayson Norris, Elli Norris, Liam Rice and Jayla Rice,

The family would like to thank Pro Health Hospice for all the special care Lorene received during her illness. The nurse Lindsey and assistant Ashley were angels from heaven, so kind and caring. We wouldn’t have made it through this process without them.
