Marie Stewart

May 24, 1931 - September 5, 2015

Marie Stewart, 84, of Tarrant, AL left us peacefully to be with her Lord. She was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, friend and sister loved greatly by a host of family and many friends. Marie was a member of the Tarrant First Baptist church. She is survived by her attentive and loving sister Lola Chatham, children Larry (Anita) Barclay, Mike (Elise) Barclay, Jennifer (Tim) Jackson, Debbie (Jeff) Tayon, Cindy (George) Yarbrough, special friend Mary Louise McCabe, grandchildren Scott Jackson, Jake Barclay, John Michael (Vicki) Barclay, Clay (Blair) Yarbrough, Kelli (Jason) Bush, Rebecca Yarbrough, Matt Jackson, Clinton (Stacy) Barclay, Elizabeth (Charlie) Nelson, Stephanie (Jon) Catron, and Jake Tayon, as well as many beloved great grandchildren. Marie was preceded in death by her husband Jerome “Jake” Stewart, parents Andrew and Willie Turner Chatham, and sister Louise Vaske. We will always carry special memories of her in our hearts.

Services will be held at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel on Tuesday, September 8, 2015 with a Celebration of Life visitation from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm. During this time there will be fellowship with Light Fare food and refreshments provided for family and friends. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm with a dove release immediately following. Her burial will be in Fairview West Cemetery in Hanceville, AL at 3:30 pm.
