Marvin Wayne Frye

Marvin Wayne Frye, age 81, from Kimberly, Alabama, passed away on March 23, 2026, after a long illness. He was a United States Navy Veteran who served during Vietnam. He began a long career working at Liberty National Life Insurance in the machine maintenance department, first as an employee and retiring as the department supervisor on January 7, 2005. While working for Liberty National he met and married the love of his life, Barbara Frye, on November 20, 1987, and were still married at the time of his passing.

Marvin is preceded in death by his father, James Marvin Frye and his mother, Helen Catherine White. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Frye, and his 4 children, Eric (Bonnie), Bobbie (Brad), Brian (Lisa), and David (Karen), and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, with the youngest being Kensley Frye and Carson Frye. Marvin was the oldest of five siblings, who survive him, his brothers, Mike and Dennis Frye, and sisters, Phyllis Harris and Barbara Stidham.

Visitation will be held at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel, 2029 Decatur Highway, Gardendale, AL 35071, US, on March 29, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm, followed by the Funeral Service at the same location on March 29, 2026, at 2:30 p.m. A Committal Service will take place at Oakwood Memorial Gardens, 2100 Moncrief Road, Gardendale, AL 35071, US, following the service.
