Mary Tom Lankford

Mary T Lankford suddenly and unexpectedly passed away on Sunday, July 28th. She is now resting in the arms of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was dearly loved by her family and friends. Mary will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege to know her. She was 82 at the time of her death. She was born in Cordova Alabama on November 8, 1941. She graduated from Ensley High School in 1960. She was a member of the Evangel Assembly of God Church in Mount Olive Alabama. She loved attending her grandson's church as well to hear him preach. She retired after many years of working at Alabama Power. She loved attending Atlanta Braves baseball games and watching Alabama Football.

She is survived by her husband Jerry R Lankford, and sons and daughters-in-law, Jeffrey Lankford (Liz), David Lankford (Danelle), and Curtis Lankford (Brooke). Her grandchildren are Jonathan Lankford (Bethany), Jessica Bonner (Barry), Andrew Lankford, Cole Lankford, Presley Lankford Chapman (Dakota), and Alayna Lankford. She also is survived by 5 great grandchildren, Darcy, Daisy, Barrett, Rylee and Sam.

She is preceded in death by her father, Romie Guthrie, and her mother Gertrude Barton Guthrie. Her sisters Elizabeth Godwin, and Jo Ann Speigle, and her nephew Don Rutledge.

John 11: 25. Jesus said I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in me will live, even after they die.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Evangel Assembly of God, 2501 Mount Olive Road, Mount Olive, AL 35117. The funeral service will be on Thursday at 10:00 am at the church. Burial will follow at Village Falls Cemetery, Mulga, AL.
