

Maude M. Schnittker, a resident of Mt. Olive, Alabama, was born in Bear Creek, Alabama on April 17, 1921 and she passed away peacefully on December 29, 2017 at the age of 96. Maude was a member of Mount Olive Church of Christ for over 60 years. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and she loved her family dearly and cherished the time she spent with them. She was a faithful Christian and lived the life of a virtuous woman as described in Proverbs 31. She will be greatly missed.
Maude was preceded in death by her parents, John Gordon and Eva Osborne; her loving husband of 42 years, Joe Schnittker, who passed away in 1981; brothers; J.R. Osborne, Leroy Osborne, and Cleburne Osborne; sisters, Mae Malchow, Essielene Martin, and Jean Burks; and a grandson, Adam Schnittker.
Maude is survived by her son, Rick Schnittker; three daughters, Brenda McCormick, Joanna Doss (Larry), and Pam Thompson (Jimmy); sister, Lois Allred; 13 grandchildren, Terrie Teeter (Randy), Cathy Ingalls (Jim), Anne Wooten (Tim), Susan Doss, Kent Doss (Staci), Jaime Rawden, Ali McCants (Chris), Brooke Hatley (Matthew), Brett Thompson, Scarlett Mikus (Mike), Rocky Schnittker, Scotty Schnittker (Kira), and Alix Moore (Coy); 19 great grandchildren, Joseph Teeter, Andrew Teeter (Brittany), Candice French, Aaron Ingalls (Kathleen), Courtney Ingalls, Bobby Ingalls, Cole Wooten, Allyson Wooten, Alyssa Wooten, Leo Doss, Morgan Matthews, Brianna Rawden, Savanna Rawden, Blaine Rawden, Danielle Rawden, Lincoln Hatley, Gabe Schnittker, Kathen Schnittker, and Callie Moore; three great-great grandchildren, Cooper Teeter, Olivia French, and Harrison French, and a host of friends and family.
Services will be held at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 with a visitation to begin at 10:30am; funeral service at 11:30 am, followed by a time of fellowship in the Compass Room at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel.
