Melissa "Lisa" C. Davis

Melissa Carol Davis “Lisa”, age 64 of Pinson, AL passed away on Tuesday, January 1, 2019. She was born in Birmingham on December 30, 1954. Lisa was preceded in death by her father, George H. Davis, Jr. and mother, Carolyn Davis who she devotedly cared for during several years of illness and declining health. She is survived by her sister, Kathy Davis Bolton; brother, Steven H. Davis (Patti); nieces, Breanna Bolton Johnson (Jarrett), Peyton Davis and nephew, Dylan Davis; her beloved aunt Peggy Bell of Sturgis, MS; as well as great nephews, several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Lisa grew up in Tarrant, Alabama where she was a member of Central Baptist Church. At Tarrant High School she was a majorette and member of the band. Lisa was talented and creative in many areas including music, art, and writing. She attended Jefferson State Community College where she studied Spanish. Lisa loved nature and animals.

A graveside service is planned for Saturday, January 5th, 2019 beginning at 12noon in Oakwood Memorial Gardens in Gardendale. The Reverend Susan Clayton of Independent Presbyterian Church will perform the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Turkey Creek Nature Preserve.
