A resident of Kimberly was born in Brilliant, Alabama, to the late Douglas and Eunice Wolford and departed this life on Wednesday, at the age of 83.
Mildred was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Dana Day; siblings, Johnny Wolford, Ethel Goodwin and Yvonne Steirer. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, James Rogers Day; daughters, June (Don) Mosley, Linda Whitworth, and Jolene (Donnie) Tavel, grandchildren, Dana (Dave) Sieben, Christy (Mike) Tirone, David Day, Phillip (Yva) Whitworth, Cindy Patton, and Ted Tavel. 18 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Day was a former member of the Eastern Star, has travelled to all the states in the Union but one, Hawaii. She was a wonderful wife and mother. We love her very much and will miss her terribly.
Services entrusted to Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel in Gardendale, AL. Viewing will be held on November 15, 2013, from 1:00pm until 2:00pm with a funeral service beginning at 2:00pm. Rev. Don Mosley and Rev. John Mosley will officiate. Burial will be in Morris Cemetery.
