Patricia Dianne Roper, age 68 of Mt. Olive passed away Sunday, December 2, 2012 surrounded by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Travis Roper; her parents Otis Ray and Evelyn Jones; brothers, Otis Ray Jones, Jr. and Thomas Allan Jones. She is survived by her sons, Jeffrey Allan Gunnin and William Tracy Jackson (Tracy); step daughter, Sherry Roper Purser (Merle); brother, Billy Jones; a sister, Betty Lou Brown (James); grandchildren; Kolby Drake Jackson, Makenzi Blair Jackson, Joshua Allan Gunnin (Heather) whom she loved like a son, Heath Tyler Gunnin, Misty Parsons (Eric), Brandy Davis (Robbie) and a host of loving nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins and special friends.
She was a member of Olive Grove Congregational Methodist Church and retired from Don Drennen Automotive. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 5th from 6 until 8 pm at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel followed by chapel services Thursday at 11 am. Interment will be in Mt. Olive Cemetery.
