Lee is survived by his wife of over fifteen years, Viki; his three children, Kelsey Nix (Lamar), Madison Childers (Jacob) and Peyton Pate; one grandchild, Oaklan; his parents Joseph and Patricia Pate; his brother Joey Pate (Laurie); two nieces Haley and Maddy, and lots of treasured extended family.
Lee graduated from Mortimer Jordan High School where he played football and was student body president. He received his bachelor's degree from The University of Alabama. He spent his career as a software developer, enjoyed all things tech and Alabama football. He was a faithful Christian man who loved Jesus and served Community Baptist Church for several years as an ordained deacon. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, pop-pop, son, brother, uncle and friend.
He was a bright light in this world to everyone he met and he will be missed by all.
A visitation for Lee will be held Thursday, October 12, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel, 2029 Decatur Highway, Gardendale, AL 35071. A funeral service will occur Friday, October 13, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel.
Lee will be laid to rest in Oakwood Memorial Gardens, 2100 Moncrief Road, Gardendale, AL 35071-2374.
