Peggy, a resident of Smoke Rise, AL, went home to be with the Lord at the age of 72. She spent her life serving others. She worked for over forty years as a pastor’s wife and church secretary to Wilton Baptist Church, Smoke Rise Baptist Church, and CrossRoads Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Dr. Sidney M. Cottingham; daughters, Cindy Seaver, Terri Shipp (Jim), Kristi Cochran (Gary); sister, Barbara Henderson (Butch); grandchildren, Austin and Jordan Shipp, Ross and Ryan Cochran, and Heath and Stevie Seaver; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Services provided by Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel with visitation at the CrossRoads Baptist Church on Highway 160, Hayden, AL on Sunday June, 15 from 1:00pm until 2:30pm with a funeral to begin at 2:30. Interment will follow in the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery in Centreville, AL.
