Philip "Phil" Moses

Philip “Phil” Moses, age 76 of Gardendale, Alabama passed away on Wednesday, June 14th, 2023. He was born to the late Charles and Martha Moses on May 4th, 1947. After 25 years of service, Phil retired from Barbers Dairy as a Sales Manager. Phil enjoyed retirement and began to remodel homes between his golf games and spoiling his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Papa was a name he heard often from all the kids to wrestle and act as a jungle gym for them.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Martha Moses; his daughters Felicia Moon, Rhonda Moses, and Jenell Moses; and his grandson Paul Briggs.

Phil is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Loraine Moses; his son Philip Moses II and wife Shellie; his daughters Sherry Bruce, Cammie Haynes and husband Jason, and Nicole Moses Brown and husband Justin; his eleven grandchildren Christopher Guleff (Holly), Michael Guleff (Leann), Steven Briggs (Megan), Dillon Moses, Austin Moses (Stephanie), Alyssa Renfro (Gage), Thomas Williams, Madilyn Haynes, Jacob Haynes, Reily Brown, and James Brown; his eleven great grandchildren; his brother Fred Moses and wife Caroline; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

A Celebration of Life Graveside Service will be held on Sunday, June 18th, 2023 at 1:00 pm at Oakwood Memorial Gardens.
