Martin, Rayford “Fargo”, age 87, of Mt. Olive, passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2013. He was born in McGee, Mississippi on June 25, 1925. He was a WWII veteran of the US Army and retired from U.S. Steel. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Virginia James Martin; two daughters, Rhonda Ward and Gloria Banes; five grandchildren, Jeff Hannah, Leslie Banes Campbell, Sonya Hannah-Newland, Angela Cantu, and Lori Banes; and six great-grandchildren; Tony Campbell, Logan Cantu, Bryson Newland, Shelby Hannah, Caitlin Cantu, and Austin Campbell.
Visitation will be Monday, June 24th, at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel from 6 until 8:30 PM with funeral services on Tuesday, June 25th beginning at 2 PM. Interment will follow in Mt. Olive Cemetery. The Rev. Jerrel Brown will officiate. Pallbearers will be Jeff Hannah, Jay Campbell, David Cantu, Don Belcher, Johnathan Calloway, and John Paul Madison.
