Rex Wadsworth met Jesus, his Lord and Savior, face to face on 1/31/24 and is now forever healed. He was born on 1/16/1959 to Mary Jo and Jack Wadsworth in Birmingham, Alabama. He leaves behind his wife of 31 years, Diane, their son, Sean (Evie), brothers Rayce Wadsworth (Ronda), Eddie McDaniel (Ton), Paul McDaniel (Margaret), sister Sara McDaniel Patterson (Louis), grandchildren Kira, Scarlette Smith and baby on the way, along with numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Rex had the privilege and joy of being part of Hillview Baptist Church in Alabama, Wedgwood Baptist Church in Ft. Worth, Texas, Bethel Baptist Church in Pleasant Grove, Alabama and Church of the Highlands in Alabama. Relationships were developed that have spanned his entire adult life.
Rex maintained his favorite hobby of building and painting model airplanes throughout his adult life.. It brought him much joy. The Phantom Phlashers (model club) and the Hillview Baptist Staying in Touch group (youth group from teen years which has stayed connected all these years). Earlier in his life he was a probation officer in Texas. After receiving a kidney transplant in 2015, he went to work for Gamble Parts Dart and absolutely loved that job and the people he met through it.
He will be missed by many, but we rejoice that he is now at peace with Jesus.
In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to aakp.org, in the memory of Rex Wadsworth.
