Born March 10, 1958, went home to be with the Lord December 24, 2012. He was preceded in death by his father, John Thomas Austin, Jr.; and his brother, John Thomas Austin III. Richard is survived by his wife, Casey Austin; 2 sons: Rian Austin (Miranda) and James Thomas “J.T.” Austin; 2 daughters: April Hogeland (David) and Kayla Wood (Khoury); 4 grandchildren; his mother, Nadine Austin; 2 sisters: Lisa Austin and Donna Conkle (Kerry); his uncle, Eddie Austin (Annette); his aunt, Stella Small; and several extended family and friends. Visitation will be held at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel on Saturday, December 29, 2012 from 12:00 to 2:00 PM, with funeral services beginning at 2:00 PM; officiated by Reverend Phil Jones.
