

Richard Peter Yeager “Dick” passed away on Monday, April 17th 2017. He was born May 7th, 1942 in Hastings, Pa. He lived in the Kimberly and Gardendale area for the majority of his life. He was preceded in death by his father, Roy Andrew, mother, Margaret, step father Ted, brother, Roy (wife Lynn), brother, Bill (wife Sandy), and his daughter Regina. He leaves behind his half brothers, Terry Yeager (Bernice) and Tom Yeager (Darlene), son Rickey Marsh (children Brittney, Amanda, and Lee), son Buzz Yeager (wife Selena, son Hayden) and daughter Kim Hughes(husband Jason). Dick was known in the community as a baseball and softball coach. His favorite hobbies were hunting and fishing and Auburn Football. He was in the Army Reserves; he worked for Meyer Brothers and Durr Drugs in orthopedic sales and for Guaranty Pest Control. He battled Parkinson’s disease since the age of 55. He will be truly missed by all. There will be a visitation Thursday April 20th , from 5pm to 8pm and a memorial service on Friday April 21st at 11am. Services will be held at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel 2029 Decatur Highway Gardendale, Al. 35071. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to The Greater Birmingham Humane Society or Alabama Wildlife Center at Oak Mountain State Park.
