Robert F Hurley

He is survived by two daughters, Theresa (Jeffrey) Fuller of Forestdale and Sherri (Ken) Clark of Danville; three grandchildren, Benjamin Fuller, Elijah Clark and Elizabeth Clark; Shirley Cowley of Bessemer; James Richard Hurley of Birmingham and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mr. Hurley was preceded in death by his loving wife of 47 years, Julia B Hurley; parents, Lawrence S. Hurley and Regina F. Hurley; a brother, Lawrence (Buddy) Hurley Jr; sisters, Elizabeth Glenn, Bobbie Burch, Bonnie Smith, Betty Case and Joan Lanahan.

Mr Hurley was a long time member of Brookhaven United Methodist Church of Powderly. He was also a member of the Walking Horse Association of Alabama as well as the Alabama Show Horse Association.

Visitation will be on Friday, June 9, 2017 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel. The graveside funeral service and burial will be held on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Elmwood Cemetery. Bro. Dennis Agnew will be officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society and the American Heart Association. A special thanks to Alacare Hospice and Visiting Angels for their care and support.
