Robert Dean Lee

Robert served our country in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the United Auto Workers Union and he retired from Hayes Aircraft after many years of service. He was a devoted family man and loved his family dearly and cherished all the time he was able to spend with them, especially his great grandchildren.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, James and Louise Lee; three brothers, Edward Lee, Aubry Lee, and Alwin Lee; two sisters, Myra Bass and Eleanor Hatcher.

Robert is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Myra Sue Lee; sons, Michael Lee (Janice), Gary Lee (Frances), Darryl Lee (Pam), and Eddie Hill (Jenifer); daughters, Susan Griffin (Jerry) and Karen Lambert (John); brothers, Dale Lee (Barbara) and Mickey Lee; sister, Aliene Ledford; eighteen grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Celebration of life services will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel with a time of visitation to begin at 2:00 PM; service at 3:00pm, followed by his burial in Oakwood Memorial Gardens, Gardendale, AL.
