She was preceded in death by her parents, Marshall and Lovie Shadix; husband, Bud Howse and granddaughter, April Bridges Cave.
Left to cherish her memory are daughter, Brenda Bridges (Ronnie); granddaughter, Kathryn Johnson (Scott) and great grandchildren, Brooklyn Johnson and Chloe Johnson and many nieces and nephews.
She was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church in Warrior, Al. She retired from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
A visitation for Earlene will be held Friday, May 5, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM in the Magnolia Hall at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel, 2029 Decatur Highway, Gardendale, AL 35071, followed by a funeral service from 11:00 AM.
Burial will be at New Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Warrior, AL
