Sharon Marie Cordell Rushing, age 42, of Gardendale, AL, born on July 10, 1973, joined her heavenly father on September 23, 2015. She was preceded in death by her father, Monty Cordell. She is survived by her husband James Bryan Rushing; son, Jacob Lawson Rushing; mother, Barbara Sue Cordell; her father, James D. Rushing; brother, Gary Phillip Cordell; sister, Lauren Rochelle Cordell; loving aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and everyone.
Sharon loved her family and friends. She loved being a mother and participating in her son Jacob’s activities. Artistic and creative, she loved cooking and planning family get-togethers.
Sharon was a bright light that touched the lives of all that knew her. Possessing a kind heart and a gentle soul, she was loved by all in her life. She is beloved by her family and she will be missed.
