Stella Brown

Stella was born and raised in Morgan County, Al with her five brothers and five sisters.

Stella attended Falkville High School and graduated from Birmingham Baptist Hospital school of Nursing (Ida V Moffett, Stamford University). Stella had a long career as an RN in various aspects of nursing. After retirement she was busy with grandchildren, great grandchildren, the garden club, and a very active member of Gardendale Mt Vernon UMC.

Stella is preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband of 75 years Glenn Brown; Sister Margaret Campbell; Brothers Ralph, JJ, Louyn, and Hugh Summerford.

Stella is survived by her three children: Glenda Browne (Tom), Kathy Livingston, Ernest Brown (Jenny); Grandchildren: John Livingston(Jaimie), Patrick Browne (Jennifer); Riley Browne (Katie); Neil Brown (Erin); Morgan Brown Brasfield (Brooks). Great Grandchildren: Maimie, John David, Hardy, Elizabeth, Parker, Finley, Everson, Mary Grace, Emmi, Maddox, Max, Trent, Cole, Alice. Sisters: Rachel Fowler, Nina Johnson, Willie Monroe, and Sandra Angelea. Brother: Jack Summerford. Many more Family and friends.

A visitation will be held Saturday Feb 19th, 2022 at 10:00 AM followed by funeral service at 11:00 AM at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel, 2029 Decatur Hwy, Gardendale, Al 35071. Burial will follow in Oakwood Memorial Gardens.
