Stephen "Randy" Randall Doss

Stephen Randall “Randy” Doss, age 66 passed away on Monday, June 26, 2023. He was born on February 3, 1957 to the late Milton Eugene Doss and the late Shirley Gurley Mills. Randy proudly served his community for 20 years as a Jefferson County Deputy Sheriff until he retired in 2019. He loved to fish and talk fishing with his son, tinker with old cars, travel with his family, ride around on his golf cart, and mostly spoil his grandkids with love.

Randy is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Kathy R. Doss; his son, Brandon Doss and his wife Tori; his daughters, Leigh Anne DeCastra and Lauren Nichols; his seven grandchildren, Haj Allali, Lucas DeCastra, Ethan DeCastra, Ava DeCastra, Aiden DeCastra, Henley Doss, and Everly Doss; his brother, Mike Doss and his wife Terri, his sister-in-law, Debby Doss; his mother-in-law, Margaret Dellinger; his sibling-in-laws, Cindy Green, Tammy and Don Adams, Jeff Robinson, Keith Dellinger, Denise and Pete Graham, and Debbie Robinson; his lifelong best friend Mike Mosley and his wife Janice; a host of nieces, nephews, and numerous friends.

He is preceded in death by his father, Milton Eugene Doss; his mother, Shirley Gurley Mills; brothers, Conrad Doss and Barry Doss; and his granddaughter Lily Doss.

The family will receive friends on Friday, June 30th, 2023 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel. A Celebration of Life Service will immediately follow at 11:00 am with burial at Oakwood Memorial Gardens.
