Tammy Lea Nix

Tammy Lea Nix, 54, of Kimberly, AL, passed away Wednesday, July 30, 2014. She is survived by her loving husband, Wayne Nix, daughter, Adreon Beck (Adam), sons Josse Nix (Jessica Goodson), and Jacob Nix, grandchildren, Aubrey, Tanner and Aurora, sister, Stacy Foster (Pat), brother-in-law, Eddie Nix (Nancy) and nieces Chelsea Bair (Jon) and Christina Ricketts (Brandon).

Tammy was a beloved wife, mother, gram, sister, aunt, and friend. She was a program coordinator at the University of Alabama Birmingham School of Public Health. Tammy loved to travel, especially to the beach, which she visited as often as she could. She was an avid reader, enjoyed riding 4-wheelers, shopping for antiques, and most of all loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Tammy was loved by many and will be very deeply missed.

The family would like to thank the many family members and friends that have expressed their sympathies and support and would also like to thank the wonderful medical teams of Brookwood Medical Center and UAB Hospital for their wonderful care and help throughout this tough time.

Services will be held at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel on Saturday, August 2, 2014. Visitation will be from 4:00pm - 5:00pm with a memorial service immediately following at 5:00pm.
