Janice Gengler was a woman of rare strength, deep compassion, and unwavering love. She lived her life with an open heart and an open door, offering comfort, safety, and belonging to anyone who needed it. To know Janice was to know what it meant to be truly cared for.
Janice loved fiercely and without reservation. When she gave her heart, she gave it fully steadfast, loyal, and unguarded. She was a protector, a nurturer, and a refuge. For many, her home was more than a place to stay; it was a sanctuary. Over the years, countless people found warmth, acceptance, and peace within her walls, because Janice believed no one should ever feel alone.
She endured profound loss in her lifetime. Janice was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jon Gengler; her son, Jr. Gengler; and both of her parents. Through unimaginable grief, she remained strong and independent, carrying herself with quiet resilience and grace. Her strength was not loud or boastful—it was steady, lived daily, and rooted in love.
Janice leaves behind her three sons—Tony Gengler, Michael Gengler, and Bobby Gengler—who remain alive and well, and who carry forward her spirit, her values, and her capacity to love deeply. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom she loved and adored, each of them holding a special place in her heart.
Janice Gengler will be remembered as a safe place in a difficult world, a woman who loved hard, gave freely, and made room for others without hesitation. Her presence was a gift, and her absence will be felt deeply by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
