He was preceded in death by his father, Jack Gentry; mother, Florence Mordecai; brothers, Charles Gentry and Johnny Gentry.
He is survived by his sons; Johnny Gentry (Heather), Donnie Gentry, and Rodney Gentry (Angie); grandchildren, Austyn Jones, Brayton Jones, Cody Jones, Linsey Thomas Brashier, Bethanie Gentry, Brittany Gentry, Codie Gentry, Tony Gentry and Brandy Brown; great grandchildren, Levi, Alexa, Santi, and Christian; many nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Services will be held at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel on Thursday, December 29, 2016 with a visitation to begin at 10:00am; funeral service at 11:00am followed by his burial in Valhalla Cemetery, Midfield, AL.
