Dootsie was a retired employee of Plantation Patterns. He was born on May 12, 1934 to the late Walter and Maymie Sharpe. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Norma Jean Cagle Sharpe, son, David (Doc) Foster, sister, Gurtie (J.D.) Miller, and a brother, James (Jeweleen) Sharpe.
Dootsie is survived by his daughters, Rebecca (Jimmie) Hall, Teresa (Donnie) Gooch, and Linda Walker; grandchildren, Anna Hall, Adam Gooch, Donnie (Shanna) Gooch, Josh (Brandi) Stokes, Gavin Walker, Matt Hall, numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
Graveside Service will be Wednesday at 10:00 AM, August 26, 2020 in Oakwood Memorial Gardens "Good Shepard Garden", Gardendale, AL.
