on August 16 th , 2023. Bill was born August 18 th , 1950, in Birmingham, Alabama to Tierce and Vera
Yarbrough.
Although Bill left Alabama last year to live in Arkansas to be closer to his grandchildren, Alabama never
left him.
In his earlier days, he graduated from Birmingham-Southern with a Bachelor of Arts, then later pursued
a Master of Education from the University of Montevallo. There he was named Who's Who of
Outstanding Young Men of America - Fellowship to University of Montevallo. Bill worked in the oil and
gas industry, as a probation officer, and at his latest gig with the Birmingham Barons. His proudest
career accomplishments included crisis intervention with juvenile offenders.
Bill was a loving and generous man to the core. When asked what made him smile, it was memories of
his son growing up. He was proudest of his son Tyler Yarbrough, and family. A man of adventure, he was
thriving in retirement living in the "Free State of Bill." You could always catch his posts about traveling
with Buddy, his beloved dog, in his camper around the country.
Left to cherish Bill's legacy are his son, Tyler (Bailey) Yarbrough and grandchildren, Bryce and Greer
Yarbrough. He is also survived by his brother Gary (Betty) Yarbrough and sister Linda Tomana.
Visitation will be held at 9:30 on Tuesday August 22 nd at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel.
