Willie B. McCaleb

Willie joined the Navy in 1951, and retired as Chief Petty Officer on February 12,1973. After serving in the Military, Willie became a commercial driver and was an owner operator. He received several Million Mile Safe Driving awards over his 20 years of driving.

He is survived by his children, Don McCaleb (Deb), Lisa Moore (David), Lindy Babb (Terry), and Michael McCaleb. Brothers; Robert (Martha), Ken (Diane), Sisters; Mary, Jeri Ann, Sheila, (Bradley), Fay (Bert), nine grandkids, eleven great grandkids and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Willie was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Cora E. McCaleb; two grandsons, Dylan and Corey Douglas; brothers, Jack, Houston, Joe, Billy Ray, and sister, Susie Mae

Services for Willie will be held Saturday, November 2, 2024 at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel, 2029 Decatur Highway, Gardendale, AL 35071, with a time of visitation from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM; Celebration of life at 2:00 PM followed by his burial in Oakwood Memorial Gardens, Gardendale, Alabama.
