Zana Dean Hill

Zana Dean Choate Hill, age 93, of Tarrant, Al., passed away April 18, 2020. A private family graveside service will be held at Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Birmingham. Zana was a loving wife and a devoted mother and grandmother. Zana was a true homemaker. She loved cooking and taking care of her family, and nothing pleased her better than the chance to crochet an afghan for one of them. In her earlier years, she enjoyed working in the yard. She is preceded in death by her mother Bertha Choate (Mama Dood), son, Gary Dale, and grandson Micheal Pennington, sisters Claudia House (Charles) and Elizabeth (Jo) Green (Jim). She is survived by her husband of 72 years Ellis, son Reggie (Elaine), daughter Shelia Hill Pennington (Leon), daughter-in-law Carla Dobbs Hill, grandchildren Cindy Pennington (Che’ McCrary), Cody Hill (Poppy), and Kaleena Hill. Great-grandchildren Hunter Pennington (Kaitie Carden), Joshua Beeson, Justin Beeson, Karlie Hill.

Mrs. Hill will be laid to rest at Sunrise Memorial Gardens in a Private Graveside Service.
