Barbara Jeanne Welch

Born Barbara Jeanne Goble on June 23, 1931 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Ora and Glenn Goble, she was the oldest of four children; Dorothy Goble Barber, Michael Goble (passed), and Robert Goble.

She is survived by her children: Marya Welch; Kevin Welch, wife Rhonda; Leslie Welch Lindsey; David Welch, wife Karen; and Shannon Welch.

She was fondly known as “Grandma B” to 13 grandchildren: Skip Welch, Brandee Newberg Wallace, Jamie and Joey Walker, Haley Williamson, Erin Lindsey Clayton, Jeremy Mosely, David Welch Jr., Tara Lindsey, Rhonda Welch McAdow, Kristy Welch Jeffords, Jacob Lindsey, Dayne Welch.

As well as 25 great-grandchildren: Paige Wallace, Bailey Welch, Madeline Wallace, Brayden Jackson, Bennett Welch, Hannah South, Kayla Crawford, Clayton and Blaze Crawford, Riley Wallace, Lily Walker, Skylar Tibbs, Sawyer Clayton, Slade Wallace, Hunter Grider, Abby Walker, Porter Clayton, Maxx McAdow, Ava Walker, Riley Williamson, Lincoln Jeffords, Alice and Van McAdow, Oliver Jeffords, and Oskar Clayton.

Barbara spent her retirement years watching old movies, OU football and Wheel of Fortune. She passed on her love of classic movies to her kids and grandkids.

Barbara loved her family. Nothing was more important to her than her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sister, brothers, nieces, and nephews.

She was defined by her love for her family.  

She was our rock.
