Betty Lou Cox

On August 5, 2011 our beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, Betty Lou Hart Cox went to be with our Heavenly Father. Betty was born on October 18, 1930 to George and Berta Hart in Antlers, OK. She married her love, Harold Cox November 1, 1947 at the age of 17. Together they lived many places and traveled the world extensively with family and friends. She leaves behind to miss her quick wit and great sense of humor, her husband Harold of Liberty Hill, her daughter Carol Graham and husband Mike of Round Rock, her son, Darrell Cox of Lexington, and her daughter Shannon Floyd and husband Jerry of Liberty Hill. Her grandchildren, Tammy Chalermpued of Austin, Sherri McFarland of Medford OR, Candace Walch of Lexington, Amy Hobbs of Lexington, Chandler Floyd and Cheyenne Floyd of Liberty Hill, and numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. And last but not least her mother who will be 101 years of age in Sept. Preceded in death by her father George Hart of Mena AR, her brother Bill Hart of Midlothian. Funeral services will be at PromiseLand Church at 1504 E. 51st. in Austin at 11AM Monday, officiated by Bishop Kenneth Phillips and visitation and viewing with the family will be at Gabriels Funeral Chapel in Georgetown on Sunday evening from 5 to 7. Burial will be at Hopewell Cemetery in Liberty Hill immediately following the services at PromiseLand. Mom, you had a way with words like no other. I definitely got my sense of humor from you. I love you and it was an honor to take care of you in the last weeks of your life... Shannon Mom, you taught me how to cook and sew and I will miss our daily chats... Carol
