Bobby "Bob" Joe Shepherd

Bobby Joe “Bob” Shepherd was born February 13, 1939 in Emilee, Texas to the late John Clifton and Eula Lee (Hanks) Shepherd, he passed away at the age of 69 on Friday, July 18, 2008 with his family by his side. He is preceded in death by his parents and by his brother, John Clifton Shepherd, Jr. and two brother-in-laws, Ray Shepherd and M.L. Fortenberry. Bob was successfully involved in several businesses over the years, most notably the wholesale lighting company and construction supply company, “S & H Lighting”. Bob married Louwaine on December 9, 1989 in Old Settler’s Park in Round Rock. Bob and his wife were members of Hutto Baptist Church. Bob leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 19 years, Louwaine Shepherd of Jarrell, 7 children, Bo Shepherd and his wife Andrea of San Gabriel, Calvin Shepherd and his wife Sindy of Elgin, Dianne Riley and her husband Eddy of Hutto, Mashell Wilkerson of New York, Lisa Moerbe and her husband Clint of Jarrell, Travis Farmer and his wife Patti of New York, and Troy Farmer and his wife Christy of Round Rock. He is also survived by his sister, Audrey Shepherd of Woodville; along with 17 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren and many other loving family members and friends. The family will gather for visitation on Monday, July 21, 2008 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at The Gabriel’s Funeral Chapel in Georgetown. Services celebrating Bob’s life will be held on Tuesday, July 22, 2008 at the Hutto Baptist Church at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at the Hutto Cemetery.
