Delbert Raymond Lee

February 26, 1931 - January 21, 2023

Del was born in Salina, Kansas to Buell and Grace Lee. They moved to Oregon during WWII when his dad got a job in the shipyards. He began attending Mt. Tabor Presbyterian Church where he first met Rual Geiger, his future wife. He attended Glencoe Grade School and graduated from Washington High School in 1949. Del was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon at U of O and earned a BBA in 1953. Two years in the service followed, where Del volunteered as a clerk typist even though he couldn’t type and began sending Rual “love” letters as a way to practice. Upon his return their relationship blossomed and they were married in 1956.

Del was preceded in death by Rual, the love of his life and wife of almost 50 years; his parents; his sister Bonnie Lausmann and brother Gene Lee.

He is survived by his children, Debbie Lee (Chris) Sutherland, Cindy (Scott) Donoven and Mark Lee; grandchildren, Justin (Lindsay) Collier, Joshua (Jenny) Donoven, Kristi (Adam) Vickery, Krista (Chris) Tennis, Nicolette (Brendan) Flores, Cameron Lee, Savannah Lee and 10 great-grandchildren.
