
Gordon "Mac" MacDonald, age 85, died peacefully on February 13, 2007. Mac was born on December 11, 1921, in Aledo, Illinois to Gordon and Opal(Reams)MacDonald. He married Jeanice Caroline Hollerup on October 10, 1942, in Valdosta, GA. Mac served our country during WWII in the service branch of the Air Force. After the war, Mac went to work for Standard Oil Co., and later became the owner and manager of a Mobil Oil Service Station in Endeavor, Wisconsin. He retired in 1984. Mac was a member of the Trinity United Church of Christ and held many officer positions. He was President of the Church for several years, served as trustee for the church, as well as, Chairman of the Memorial Committee and member of the Pastor Parish Committee. Mac was a charter member of the Lions Club and enjoyed golfing, gardening, bird watching, fishing, bridge, and traveling. Mac is survived by his 3 daughters - Patti (John) Ryan of Denver, PA, Nancy Cushman of Georgetown, TX, and Christi (Tony) Bermejo of Portage, WI. Grandchildren - Casey Ryan and Erin (Brooke) Hartwick, Kyle (Jena) Cushman, Brent Gordon Cushman, Shyla (Kevin) Vickers, Janelle (Joshua) Cooksey, and JoEllen (Jacob) Bermejo-Goldsberry. Great Grandchildren- Olivia and Isabella Hartwick, Gage Logan Cushman and Shaylin, Carissa,and Reese Vickers. Niece - Karen Washburn of Waukesha,WI along with nephews and nieces of his 2 deceased brothers. Mac also leaves behind many valued friends who were family to him. Mac was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanice, and 2 brothers.
