

Hardy Robison, 87 most recently of Georgetown, Texas passed away on Thursday, June 13, 2013 with his loving family at his side. Hardy's family will gather for a time of visitation on Monday, June 17, 2013 at The Gabriels Funeral Chapel, 393 North IH 35, Georgetown, Texas from 6:00PM to 8:00PM. Hardy’s family will gather at 9:00AM on Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at IOOF Cemetery for a graveside service. Hardy was born June 1, 1926 in Birmingham, Mobile, Alabama to the late Buena Chambers and Marguerite Harrison Robison. Hardy was raised in the Groveton, Texas area and after high school he joined the United States Army Air Corp. Hardy married the love of his life Nina Dean Blackburn on September 29, 1951 in Galveston, Texas. Hardy and Nina spent over 35 years in the Pasadena area, where they started their family and operated a very successful insurance company; “Robison Insurance”. Being very active in the community, they were members of St. Pius Catholic Church and Hardy was a 4th degree Knights of Columbus. Upon retirement Hardy and Nina spent 8 ½ years in Longview, Texas and 6 ½ years in Corpus Christi, before moving to Georgetown. Hardy was known for his humor and being prankster. Together he and his best friend, Lanky Chapman, kept everyone around them laughing. Even into his later years and when his health began to weaken his body, Hardy held onto to his sense of humor. Hardy enjoyed growing his vegetables and being outdoors hunting deer, quail and dove. He spent many hours with his constant companions, his long legged Brittney Spaniels, Fagen, Hogan and Rags. Hardy is preceded in death by his parents Buena and Marguerite Robison; and his siblings, Maggie Robison, Betty Greenwell, B. C. Robison, Jr., Hugh Robison, Warner Robison, and Dorothy Dukes, who passed away the evening before him. Hardy leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 62 years, Nina Robison; his children, Kathy Lynn Wright and her husband Bob, Becky Ann Caplen and her husband Barry, and Donna Kay Wallace and her husband Wally; 5 grandchildren, Vanessa Caplen, Lauren Caplen, Rusty Caplen, Tanner Acord, and Ashley Collier and her husband Cody; his brother, Donald Robison; 2 great grandchildren, Scarlet Anne Marie Collier and Lucy Dean Collier; along with numerous other loving family members and friends.
