Hudson James Gibbs

Hudson James Gibbs of Round Rock, Texas was born February 26, 2021 and passed away peacefully at home December 1, 2021.  Hudson was a fighter until his last breath, defying odds his whole life.  His strength and fight for life was admirable to those who knew him. 

Hudson’s smile would light up a room and he loved being held and snuggled.  His favorite things were bath time, listening to calming music while being rocked to sleep, and getting kisses from his dog Charlie.  Hudson always overcame the challenges he was faced with and while he only spent a short amount of time with us, his strength will remain with those who loved him.

Hudson is preceded in death by his great grandparents, Peter Rourke Jr, William “Bill” and Lottie Sheffield, Francisco “Frank” Aguilera, and Harold Gibbs.  He also joins his cousin, Lucas Diaz, in heaven.  He is survived by his parents, Kenny and Megan Gibbs, his grandparents, Richard and Anna Gibbs, Pete Rourke, and Char Rourke.  He is also survived by his aunts and uncles, Patty Rocha (Benny), Michael Rourke (Fiancée Taylor), Jason Rourke (Megan) and his cousins Jonellie, Max and Jaxon Rocha.  Hudson also leaves behind three great grandmothers, Diamantina Aguilera, Myra Rourke, and Irene Gibbs; as well as many extended family members including aunts, uncles, and cousins.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Dell Children’s Medical Center, who took such great care of Hudson over the last few months so that they could spend more time with their sweet boy at home before his passing.

A Visitation and Viewing will be held Tuesday, December 7 at 5:30 pm with a Rosary following at 7:00 pm at The Gabriels Funeral Chapel in Georgetown.  The Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, December 8 at 2:00 pm at The Gabriels Funeral Chapel, with a burial to follow at Our Lady of the Rosary Cemetery in Georgetown. 

The service will also be live streamed on The Gabriels Funeral Chapel website for those who cannot attend.
