

James was born on May 21, 1934, in Georgetown, TX to James L. and Sarah (Dunson) Gilmore, he was a Truck Driver, Welder, Mechanic and Rancher.
Bud is survived by his son Ronnie (Brenda) Gilmore, daughters Lisa (Ken) Newton and Jeannie Gilmore, sister-in-law Joyce (Mike) Edwards, sister-in-law Ivy (Bird) Watson, seven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and many more beloved family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife Annie Opal (Watson) Gilmore, parents James and Sarah (Dunson) Gilmore, sister Lillian Ruby (Gilmore) Chambers and husband Curtis, sister Mary Daisy (Gilmore) Bohanan and husband Marvin, sister Dorothy F. (Gilmore) Shelton and husband Earl, sister Jessie Lea (Gilmore) Pickle and husband Johnnie, and sister Vera Mae Gilmore.
A private service was held to honor Bud on Wednesday, February 11, 2026. The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the staff, nurses and hospice caretakers at the Springs Nursing Home who dedicated their time, love and compassion during the final chapter of his life.
