

Jimmy Fred Starr 68 of Leander, Texas passed away peacefully with his family at his side on Tuesday October 25, 2011. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 27, 2011 from 6pm-8pm at Gabriels Funeral Chapel, 393 N. IH 35, Georgetown, Texas. Services will be held on Friday, October 28, 2011 at 3:00PM at The Gabriels Funeral Chapel with Cameron Corbin officiating. He will be laid to rest at 3:00PM on Saturday, October 29, 2011 in Starr Cemetery outside of Elkhart, TX. Jimmy was born in Palestine, Texas May 30, 1943. Jimmy served in the United States Air Force from 1961-1964 as a Military Policeman. Jimmy served the State of Texas as a Peace Officer in Lockhart, Texas and West Lake Police Department. Jimmy served as a Reserve Police Officer in Round Rock, Texas under Chief Wes Wolf. Jimmy married the love of his life Debra Starr and they spent a wondrous 20 years together as husband and wife. Jimmy Leaves behind his precious wife, Deborah Starr; mother, Margie Starr; son, Jimmy Fred Starr and wife Karen; daughters, Meshelle McAdams and husband Tim, Dawn Starr, Penny Thompson and husband Jason; stepsons, Willie Richards and wife Nancy, David Jordan and wife Christine; sisters, Linda Davis, Gayle Pharis and husband Matthew, Donna Damron and husband Eddie; brother, Russell Bryan and wife Terri. Jimmy was a loving grandfather to twelve grandchildren and four great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Jimmy was preceded in death by his father, Fred Starr; mother, Margie Bunch; and a brother, Mitchell Starr. Jimmy was a very loving husband, father and grandfather, he loved the lord with all his heart and his affection for life showed though his care and concern for his family was exemplified in his compassion for his love of people and of his two side-kicks Bridget and Shiloh.
