

John Mark Thompson, age 50, of Liberty Hill, Texas, died on April 9, 2012. He was born in Greenville, TX on May 9, 1961. Mark graduated from UT Arlington and received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Systems. Mark worked for Hewlett Packard since June, 2011 as a Director of Support. Before joining HP, he was an IT Director at Dell for 13 years. Mark’s passion was his family, officiating football and animals. His football career started in 1986 with the Fort Worth Chapter, and then joined the Arizona, Houston and Austin chapters. Mark primarily worked the Referee and Back Judge positions. While in the Austin Chapter, Mark held a position on the Chapter Board of Directors as the Division One Representative. He worked many High School playoff games, including one State Championship Final and several college games. Mark ended his football career in 2011 by working as Back Judge in the US Army All American Bowl and the Dallas Cowboys scrimmages at the Alamo Dome. He is survived by his wife Terri McCain Thompson, and daughter Jaycee Marie; Parents, John & Wanda; Sister & Husband, Sheri & Brian Mayes; Niece, Breann; In-Laws, Clayton & Margie McCain; Sister-in-Law, Denise McCain; Uncles & Aunts, Bob & Teresa Thompson and Bill & Doe Thompson. Numerous close friends, football buddies and colleagues. Memorial Services will be held at Gabriels in Georgetown, TX at 6:00pm on Saturday, April 14th.
