

LuAnne Frances Myers Wilson, 69, of Dallas, went to be with her Lord on Friday, April 13, 2018. She was born August 17, 1948, in Fort Riley, Kansas, to Col. Gordon and Lucille (Pittman) Myers. She married Carey B. Wilson on August 29, 1970, in Newport, Rhode Island.
LuAnne earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature from Roger Williams University. Her main focus was taking care of her family. She was a docent for 47 years at museums like the Perot Museum of Nature and Science in Dallas; the National Ranching Heritage Center in Lubbock; and the Lubbock Lake National Historic Landmark. She also looked forward to the State Fair of Texas where she encouraged people, with a cart filled with interesting fossils, to visit the historic Dallas Museum of Natural History. She enjoyed making jewelry, sewing, reading, traveling, and spending time with her family. She will be remembered most for her big smile and boisterous laugh.
LuAnne is survived by her husband, Carey; her daughter, Lynn (Bryan) Wood; granddaughter, Lauren Wood; mother, Lucille Myers; brother, David Myers; sister-in-law, Joan Myers; and many nieces and nephews.
LuAnne is preceded in death by her father, Gordon Myers; her brother, Steven Myers; her in-laws, John H. and Elizabeth Wilson; brother-in-law, John V. Wilson; and sister-in-law, Sue Dawson.
A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 26, 2018 at Grace United Methodist Church, Dallas, TX, officiated by Rev. Judith Reedy.
