

Norma Chavez Moran, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully, in her sleep, on Saturday, March 8, 2025, in Round Rock, Texas at the age of 77. She was born on May 27, 1947, in El Paso, Texas to Roberto and Rosa Nava.
Norma was a 1965 graduate of Burges High School, El Paso, Texas. She was a Business Service Representative for Southwestern Bell Telephone/AT&T, El Paso, Texas, retiring after 30 years of service in 1999. Upon her retirement, she moved to Austin, Texas to help raise her grandchildren.
Norma was a remarkable woman who loved and cherished her family. Her legacy will live on forever through the lives of her grandchildren, who she nurtured and devoted her life to after her retirement.
Norma is survived by her husband of 41 years; Joe Moran; her daughters; Diane “Dini” Wells (Joe), Melissa “Missy” Hernandez (Ruben), Priscilla “Prissy" Chavez, Claudia Ablaza (Mike), and Donna Smith (Clint); her grandchildren; Cody, Zachary (Kaylee), Taylor, Logan, Aidan, Randy (Lacee), Ashley, and Analescia (Alan); her great-grandchildren; Blaykley, Mellow, Cecilia, Coco, Calynn, Zoee, Clara, and Ryker; her brothers; Robert “Bobby” Nava (Rosie), and Armando “Mandy” Nava (Carol); and by many loving sisters/brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends.
Norma is preceded in death by her parents, Rosa Cardenas Nava, Roberto Nava; and her son, Joseph Moran.
A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, March 18, 2025 @ 11:00am at The Gabriels Funeral Chapel, 393 N Interstate Hwy 35, in Georgetown, Texas, 78628.
