Ruth Berger Gregory

Ruth Berger Gregory, 93 of Georgetown, Texas, passed away Wednesday, November 14,2018 after a fulfilling and meaningful life surrounded by family.  She was born March 4, 1925, the daughter of Otto Berger and Ruth Gil Berger in Washington, D.C.

Ruth graduated from Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School in Maryland in 1942 where she met on a blind date Kenneth Alonzo Gregory, 21 of Elsberry, Missouri.   Kenneth later became her husband of more than 68 years.   Ruth and Kenneth moved to Rockville, MD where they raised three children and were faithful members of the First Baptist Church of Rockville. 

She spent her career as a Secretary in the Maryland State Attorney’s Office in Rockville, MD.  Ruth and Kenneth retired to Annapolis, MD where they spent many years enjoying family and friends.  She loved boating, camping and spending time at the Maryland sea shore.

Ruth is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Gregory; her daughter, Janet Roberson; her grandson, Robert Kenneth Gregory Jr.; her mother Ruth Berger and father Otto Berger. 

Ruth is survived by her children Karen Breach and Robert Kenneth Gregory, Sr.; grandchildren Scott Breach, William Roberson and Christine Ward and great-grandchildren Emily Breach, Lauren Breach, Ashley Roberson and Bradley Roberson.  Ruth was loved by everyone and will be missed by many friends and family members.  Although we greatly mourn our loss, we know that she is in the hands of the Lord.
