Teodora “Dora” DeLeon, age 72, passed away on January 19, 2026, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, in Round Rock, Texas. She was born on April 1, 1954, in Taylor, Texas, to Venselada and Genaro Ramos. She simply went by Dora and was known to everyone by that name.
One of eleven siblings, Dora grew up in a large family that shaped her deep appreciation for love, resilience, and togetherness. She later built a life rooted in those same values with her own family.
She was a devoted wife to her husband of over 40 years, Lucio DeLeon Jr., and a loving mother to her two sons, Lucio DeLeon III and Roel Ruiz Jr., who were the pride and joy of her life. She was fiercely protective and endlessly giving when it came to her children, and she was known for her strength and determination, never backing down from anything.
She had a deep love for music, especially the sounds of the 1960s. She was a devoted fan of The Beatles, Aretha Franklin, and Ray Charles, and music remained a constant source of comfort and joy throughout her life.
In her quieter moments, she could often be found in the dining room reading magazines or crocheting. When the game was on, however, she was in the living room watching football and yelling at the television, a pastime that brought laughter and joy to those around her.
Dora will be remembered for her unwavering strength, her warmth, her humor, and the deep love she had for her family. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
