Family is not what you are born into or always related by blood. Family is always connected by the hearts of those who over the years never forget about each other. There were calls on birthdays and holidays, and even though we ended up living on opposite coasts, Alej and her family were always our family!  I liked her the moment we met by phone, and after helping me raise my 2 youngest children, Joseph (“Tre”) and Kimberly when I had to go back to work,  and also caring for Stacey and Jasmine after school, she lived to see her kids and mine become the beautiful persons they are today!  She was truly a blessing and we already miss her more than we can possibly say in words. However, Alej was also a woman of faith, so we are looking forward to seeing her again in our heavenly home.  We are only a text or phone call away. (Spine surgery kept me from coming) so we will continue to keep in touch. Alejandrina was a gentle soul and will be remembered and missed! I met her when I took over the playground in 2016. She always had a smile on her face and a positive attitude about life! I loved and respected her as a wise friend;)

Miss Ale, un gran ser humano que tuve el honor de conocer y que fue como una segunda madre, que suerte tuve en ser como de su familia, me arropo y me hizo sentir como en casa, junto a toda su familia, nunca pude pagarle ni el 1% de todo lo que hizo por mi, Gracias donde quiera que se encuentre, Gracias por su generosidad a manos llenas, su sinceridad y su amor incondicional. Gracias por ser autentica, única y sincera. Gracias por ese gran corazón que no le cabía en el pecho, por preocuparse por el otro, por dar sin esperar nada mas que el placer de dar a alguien mas y ver en su rostro felicidad. Miss ale mi querida y amada Miss Ale de pocos seres he recibido tanto amor como de usted, Gracias, gracias y gracias. Y no se apure Gaby tiene un hermano y Huero también amo a su familia tanto como usted nos amo. Vive en nuestros corazones, por que al fin somos como dice mi mama alegrías prestadas gracias por que la conocí y por iluminarnos con su luz ya que somos polvo de estrellas al fin y acabo, espero y usted junto con mi papa me reciban cuando me toque. I prayed for a friend like Alejandrina before I ever met her. She brought her love, her smile, her laughter and kindness to my children and to me for all the years we knew her and she holds a special place in our family memories!  She taught my children Kimberly and Tre (Joseph) to speak Spanish so well that I would have to call her sometimes to interpret what they were saying!!  Always loved us like family and we loved her.  Alej and I shared our lives together for many years while raising our children and though I know we will see each other again, we already miss her so much it hurts.
