Alicia Llamas was born August 18th, 1952 in Mexico and grew up in Tlaltenango. Daughter to Ramon and Iduvina Nañez, she grew up the eldest along with 5 brothers and 3 sisters. Alicia went on to attend Pepperdine University in California and embark on her 35+ year career with Texaco-Shell.
Wife to Javier Llamas and mother to Alexandra and Jessica, Alicia always put her family first. She loved the beach, classical music, and spending time with family. Her ability to always see the bright side of any situation was truly admirable to all those around her.
In October 2011, Alicia was diagnosed with leukemia. After a yearlong battle with nothing but smiles and positive energy, she passed in her sleep on November 15, 2012 in Houston, TX.
The Llamas family thanks everyone for all their support not just through the last year, but for all the love and friendship you brought into our beloved Mother’s life.
