Arturo C. Sanchez

Arturo C. Sanchez, affectionately known as “Thee Art Sanch,” was born on August 14, 1939, in Anthony, New Mexico. He entered the presence of Jesus on December 18, 2025. Art was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather whose life was marked by love, faith, and family. He is survived by his beloved wife of 66 years, Maria Elena Sanchez, with whom he shared a lifetime of memories, laughter, and unwavering companionship.

He leaves behind three beautiful daughters: Rita Torres (son-in-law Val), Priscilla Alexander (son-in-law Ted), and Sylvia Harms (son-in-law Mark). Art’s legacy continues through his seven grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, one great-grandchild on the way as well as nieces and nephews. Art was known for his great sense of humor and quick wit, always ready with a joke or a smile that could light up a room. His laughter brought joy to those around him and created countless cherished memories for his family and friends. Arturo will be remembered for the love he poured into his family, the joy he shared through laughter, and the faith that guided his life. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. A Celebration of life will be held at Oakdale Mortuary, located at 1401 S. Grand Ave, Glendora, CA 91740, on January 23, 2026, starting at 11:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Rosary will begin at 12:00p.m. followed by a Catholic Service at 12:30p.m. Following the Catholic Service, a committal will take place at Oakdale Memorial Park, also located at 1401 South Grand Ave, Glendora, CA 91740.
