

Cesar A Ruiz Was lost due to pancreatic cancer; In which he fought the cancer for 2 years. Cesar was born on august 17th, 1937 In the country of Guatemala in the area of Guatemala City. He was born to Mother Estefana Toledo and Father Maximino Ruiz. He was the 2nd child born in a family of 3 sisters and 1 other brother. Cesar attended school up to a point and had to drop out to help make ends meet at home and started working at a young age. He eventually joined the guatemalan army and worked on the base for 8 years as a licensed operator to accompany generals to their destination. In 1972 Cesar was 35 years old when he left Guatemala and moved to the United States were he ended up in Southen California in the Los Angeles County area. He found work as an apprentice upholsterer for some time while he was living in the area. Shortly after arriving in the U.S. he met his wife Clara Ruiz, they dated for some time. He quickly fell for her and decided to ask for her hand in marriage; they got married in 1976. They later bought their first house in the city of Azusa in 1986 were he lived out the rest of his adult years. He worked in maintenance for some years and kept working till late in life. In Cesar's final months he was watched over and cared for by his wife and family members who helped keep him comfortable and stayed at his his side.
He was known as a man with a great sense of humor. For the family he was the life of the party, always making lite of any situation and wanted to get a smile from anyone and give a smile to anyone. He always had a gift to give to his grand kids and was always joyful towards them. He was also very active around the house and kept busy on most days, he always felt that it was a type of exercise to stay on your feet and keep moving. He also liked to attend parties and be the one on the dance floor showing his dance moves and often getting a crowd to cheer him on. He was always looking to give smiles.

He will be survived by his children and wife of 47 years.
A rosary service for Cesar will be held Tuesday, October 24, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Oakdale Mortuary, 1401 South Grand Ave, Glendora, CA 91740. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, October 25, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St Frances Of Rome, 501 E Foothill Blvd, Azusa, CA 91702. A committal service will occur Wednesday, October 25, 2023 from 11:30 AM to 12:15 PM at Oakdale Memorial Park, 1401 South Grand Ave, Glendora, CA 91740.
