

Edward A. “Eddie” D’Ambruoso, 65, of Glendora, California, passed away on Saturday, July 29, 2017, due to complications of metastatic prostate cancer. His children and grandchildren were by his side and lovingly took care of him in the family home until the time of his passing.
Memorial Services will be held on October 21, 2017 at Oakdale Memorial Park in Glendora; time of service to be announced.
Eddie, the son of Samuel and Gemma D’Ambruoso, was born in Derby, Connecticut on 08/18/1951. He graduated from Derby High.
Eddie was married and a devoted husband to Johanna D’Ambruoso on 08/12/2000; they were married 16 years though their endearing love story began many years prior.
Eddie worked as a Senior Account Manager for Western Resources Title. He enjoyed sailing, music and spending time with his family barbequing. He was an avid and enthusiastic sports fan, enjoying watching all the sports of the seasons. He was also actively involved in his church, St. Dorothy’s of Glendora and the Knights of Columbus.
Eddie is survived by his brothers, Samuel and William D’Ambruoso, his daughter and son in law Sherry and Scott Howey, his grandchildren Nichole Gonzalez and Sean Howey, his grandson in law Joe Gonzalez, his great grandchildren Kailyn and Liliana Gonzalez, many cousins, nieces and nephews whom he loved and cherished dearly and the great many friends he held in his heart from years ago to the casual friend whom he met during his day to day activities. Eddie was truly a people’s person; always had a smile and a cheerful greeting for all who came in contact with him.
Eddie is preceded in death by his loving wife, Johanna deBie D’Ambruoso, and his brother Robert D’Ambruoso.
To know Eddie was to know optimism at its core. He faced his challenges with determination to overcome and never gave up hope. The world was better for having him walk upon it and our lives were enriched for having him with us.
