Felicitas Jara Covarrubias

Visitation will be from 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm, Tuesday, October 20, 2020 for the immediate family only at Oakdale Memorial Cemetery, Glendora, California. A Mass of Catholic burial will be held at 10:00 am, Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at Saint John’s Catholic Church, 3883 Baldwin Park Blvd., Baldwin Park, CA with Father Mike officiating and where friends and family are welcome. A private burial will follow at Oakdale Memorial Cemetery, Glendora, California.

Felicitas (AKA: Tita, mama, mami, abuelita, Licha) was born March 6, 1936 in Totatiche, Jalisco Mexico, to the late Hilario and Heliodora (Jara) Covarrubias.

Surviving are 5 daughters, Adriana (Max) Ghomeshi, Irma (Mark) Brown, Maricela (John) Castro, Gabriela Garcia, Nubia Jara; One son, Octavio (Monica) Covarrubias; 17- Grandchildren, and 4 - Great-Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by both her parents, her first daughter Maria de Jesus Jara, her husband, two brothers, Ignacio Covarrubias, Constancio Covarrubias; three sisters, Hermelinda Valdez, Maclovia Valdez, Gerarda Covarrubias.

Felicitas was an excellent seamstress for over 40 years. She loved working in her garden and enjoyed planting many flowers and fruit trees, but most of all she had a great passion for life and for spending quality time with her family. She was an amazing woman, daughter, mother, friend, and grandmother who worked extremely hard to give her family ALL that she could. Her family was beyond blessed to have known her, to have loved her, and to have been loved by her. She will be greatly missed and will remain in the hearts of those who love her. She will continue to live on in spirit. She leaves behind many wonderful memories.
