Francisco Acosta

Francisco Acosta, 79, passed away peacefully following a courageous battle with Alzheimer's at Claremont Hacienda facility in Claremont Ca on Wednesday, July 26, 2023. Born August 14th, 1943, in Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico, to Francisco and Celia Acosta. Francisco moved to Duarte, California, in his early twenties and married Victoria Acosta in 1974. He fathered three children soon after: David, Frank, and Nancy. Francisco, whom his family affectionately called Papa, Pancho, and Chevo, will be remembered for his stern yet humorous personality along with his dedication to his family and work. Francisco was a hard worker; when he wasn't working, he was reading, playing cards, visiting casinos, or solving puzzles. His memory will forever be engraved into the hearts of those blessed enough to have known him. Francisco is survived by his wife, three children, six grandchildren, and a great-grandchild. He is preceded in death by his parents as well as his siblings, Irma and Cecelia Acosta.

A visitation for Francisco will be held Tuesday, August 15, 2023 from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., Rosary Prayer service will begin at 6:00p.m. in Sunset Chapel at Oakdale Mortuary, 1401 S. Grand Ave, Glendora, CA 91740. A Catholic Service will be held, 11:00a.m. Wednesday, August 16, 2023 in Sunset Chapel at Oakdale Mortuary 1401 S. Grand Ave., Glendora, CA 91740. Burial will follow will at Oakdale Memorial Park, 1401 S. Grand Ave., Glendora, CA 91740.
